Lister Community School

Lister Community School is a large, 11-16 comprehensive school.  We are a mixed school that was judged ‘Good’ by Ofsted in 2013 and has just celebrated its 7th consecutive year of record breaking exam results.

Creative Arts Technician

36 hours per week, term time only

Hours:  08.30 – 4:30pm (Monday – Friday)

 Scale 4 - £17,182 (actual pro rata’d salary per annum)

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Creative Arts Technician to join our friendly faculty team of technicians and teachers. You will be supporting staff in the teaching of Art, Design, Graphics, Textiles, Photography and Resistant Materials and provide general technical and administrative assistance to teaching staff, by fully supporting them in their delivery of the curriculum and raising the achievement of students.

It is desirable that the successful applicant can demonstrate:

  • Relevant experience with school equipment (especially band saw, pillar drill, 3D printer and laser cutter)
  • A comprehensive understanding of health and safety and good practice
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Efficiency and reliabilityExperience of working in a school environment
