Lister Community School

Lister Community School is a large, 11-16 comprehensive school.  We are a mixed school that was judged ‘Good’ by Ofsted in 2013 and has just celebrated its 7th consecutive year of record breaking exam results.

Business Support Officer (House Support)

36 hours per week, term time only

Hours:  08.00 – 4:00 (Monday – Friday)

Scale 6 - £21,776 (actual pro rata’d salary per annum)

We are currently looking for an experienced Business Support Officer (House Support) to provide professional and efficient support to their allocated House and Faculty.  The candidate will also provide administrative support to the staff and students in one of the five houses at Lister.  You will act as the first port of call for students in your house that have queries and issues.  A friendly approachable nature is required.  This will be a demanding, varied and challenging role that will provide an excellent career opportunity for an exceptional individual.

The role is ideal for a pro-active person who can interact with a variety of people (staff, students, senior managers) and effectively manage their own workload.  Experience working in an educational environment is essential, as the successful candidate will be dealing with staff and students on a daily basis.  Good ICT and literacy skills are also required, as the role involves a range of ICT based skills such as letter writing and collating reports.  Experience of attendance and admissions process would be desirable.
