Brampton Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant. The role will be varied and include elements of whole class teaching, interventions, class support and responsibility for leading a variety of intervention groups. An ability to support across the primary range is essential.

The successful applicant will:

  • have achieved the HLTA award; 
    •have experience working 1:1 with children and carrying out high quality interventions across the ability range; 
    •have good, basic literacy and maths skills grade A-C GCSE or equivalent; 
    •be confident to adapt learning to meet the needs of the child both academically and emotionally; 
    •have a natural rapport with children which enables you to respond to their needs intuitively and sensitively; 
    •be enthusiastic, self-motivated, creative and able to use their initiative; 
    •be committed to working as part of a team and have good interpersonal skills; 
    •have an understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding processes; 
    •be organised, efficient and professional in their approach; 
    •be caring, understanding and patient; and
    •have evidence of having a positive impact on children's learning.
