Working to support a vision of inclusive education for all students with vision impairment.
We are looking for someone who is a committed and enthusiastic qualified teacher of the Vision impaired to join a comprehensive and forward thinking Service.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct and consultative services for students with vision impairment in mainstream and special schools. They will need to have excellent oral and written communication skills and understand the barriers to access arrangements and learning that children and young people with a vision impairment face and how these barriers may be overcome. Specialist knowledge and experience in SEND and vision impairment is essential. The post holder will need to have an ability to challenge, motivate and inspire teachers, teaching assistants, parents/carers and professionals across the Children and Young People’s Service. A commitment to inclusive education for all students with vision impairment is required.
