Sir John Heron is a successful two-form entry primary school located in the London Borough of Newham. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, proactive and highly motivated Assistant Headteacher who can work with us to make a significant contribution towards the school's journey from Good to Outstanding.

We are looking for a dynamic team player with a flexible approach and a flare for creativity.

We are looking for a leader who:

Is able to demonstrate outstanding teaching and have an exemplary record of primary classroom practice.
Has a proven track record of successfully raising standards and ensuring all pupil groups make good progress.
Has the drive, determination and enthusiasm to enhance the high level of learning in our school.
Possess excellent organisational and communication skills and has the ability to motivate and support colleagues.
Can think strategically and act practically to promote school improvement.
Has a commitment to working in partnership with all school stakeholders and the local community.
 
The post will include responsibility for leading a phase (EYFS, KS1 or KS2 to be negotiated).
