St Luke's Church of England Primary School

Upper KS2 Teacher with TLR 2b for STEM

St. Luke’s is a successful school located two minutes  from the Jubilee and DLR station at Canning Town, the school also has its own car park.

Our school is committed to developing the whole child  - not just achieving strong academic results but also helping the children to explore and develop their artistic, sporting and emotional characteristics. The school is one of only a hundred  schools in England and Wales to have earned a fifth flag for our ‘Eco’ status, has a ‘Gold’ participation mark in sports as well as being borough champs in several sports, has a burgeoning relationship with the Newham Music Service orchestras  and supports children in schools overseas in Burma and Ethiopia. We also organised an event for local homeless people just before Christmas.

The school is seeking to appoint a talented upper KS2 teacher with additional management responsibilities as part of the STEM team (TLR2b) who will contribute to the continual improvement agenda.

We can offer a school with a tradition of serving the community going back over 150 years and we have the attendance and punishment records to prove it! As well as a staff team that works closely together to support each other as well as achieving the best for our children. There is a real sense of community in this school and that inspires everything we do. Please arrange a visit and see for yourself!

Closing date for applications is Friday 4th May – interviews the week of 7th May.
