Salary Scale 6 pt. 26 (£22,210 – pro rata salary)
Gallions Primary School is a happy and successful school based in the heart of Newham. We are a large school serving a richly diverse community with an enthusiastic and committed team.
We are now seeking a highly motivated, organised Family Support and Safeguarding Officer (FSSO) to work across the school supporting some of our most vulnerable children and their families. Working closely with designated Safeguarding Leads within the school, the successful applicants will implement and manage the day-to-day safeguarding work of the school, as well as working with pupils and families to overcome barriers to learning.
The successful applicant will be:
Passionate about securing positive outcomes for our most vulnerable children and families
Able to work with groups of children to overcome learning and emotional barriers
Skilled in forming positive working relationships and with a high degree of confidentiality and sensitivity
Able to implement school policies and procedures relating to safeguarding, child protection and family outreach work.
Motivated, highly organised and able to manage and prioritise a varied workload
