Early Years Practitioner (Outreach worker)

36 hours, 52 weeks
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Early Years Practitioner who will be part of the Children’s Centre teams in the East Ham Community Neighbourhood. Experience of working and supporting families of children who have SEND is desirable but not essential.
Oliver Thomas Nursery School and Children’s Centre works in collaboration with Altmore Infant School and Children’s Centre as part of the East Ham Neighbourhood Provision.
Our focus is on ensuring families in our area are able to access Newham’s Best Start in Life Guarantee.by delivering programmes, workshops and sessions offering evidence based advice and guidance to improve outcomes for families with children from 0-5 years.
This is an integral role within our organisation not only will you plan and lead on the delivery of some of our family learning sessions. You will also be delivering family learning packages from within the home environment; linking with local schools and community venues; outreaching to families and advertising the services available to families with children under five.
The successful applicants will need to be very flexible, have an enthusiastic approach and be able to work collaboratively and sensitively across our neighbourhood. They will be professional at all times, with a particular awareness of confidentiality.
Good communication skills, excellent recordkeeping and teamwork are essential.

This position will be based at Oliver Thomas Nursery and Children’s Centre.
