Permanent full time position, Qualified Teacher Status

The School
North Beckton Primary School is situated to the south of the London Borough of Newham. It is a short distance from Beckton, Docklands Light Railway Station which has links into Stratford, London.

North Beckton Primary School has recently undertaken significant changes which includes the new leadership team of Paul Harris, Advisory Executive Head Teacher, and Alison Helm, Head Teacher.

We are a multi-cultural inclusive school, which promotes a safe, caring, challenging and creative environment. Our aim is to develop independent, responsible pupils who have respect and environmental awareness and who are equipped with the skills needed to contribute positively to their community and be productive global citizens. We have high standards and expectations for ourselves and our pupils who are supported in partnership with parents/carers.

The Staff and Governors are fully committed to providing the best education and opportunities for all pupils and we hope that all parents/carers and the children will fully support the aims and objectives of the school to ensure that time at school is happy, successful and fulfilling. Successful schools are founded on the partnership between staff, parents and pupils.

The Role
The role of Primary DHT is a hugely important role for the school as it looks to carry on its development and reach its goal of becoming an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ School.

All senior leaders at this school retain a class teaching element to their timetable as it is the heads firm belief that the best leaders are those who can lead by example by showing excellent teaching.

Open to an already established Primary DHT or an extremely experienced AHT who has held responsibility across the school; this is a great opportunity for a leader to make their mark in a developing school.

Ongoing professional development including the opportunity to take on leadership training will be made available. Further career progression is assured based on performance.

If you would like to visit the school prior to application please contact Alison Helm, Head Teacher at alison.helm@northbeckton.newham.sch.uk
